Teresa is a government and public affairs professional. She is a founding Partner of Madison West Consulting, a public affairs and communications firm based in Kansas City, MO and Washington DC and is a Senior Advisor for GPS Impact where she works to ensure that diversity, equity and inclusion are at the center of political, digital and advocacy campaigns. She has worked with national non-profits like Unidos US and the Hispanic Association for Corporate Responsibility, U.S. government agencies, county and city governments. She also has considerable experience developing diverse talent for leadership opportunities in high-level government and private sector positions. Prior, Teresa served in two roles in the Obama Administration, first as Special Assistant to the President for the Outreach & Recruitment Team in the Presidential Personnel Office. Then, as the Director of Intergovernmental and External Affairs at the Peace Corps where she was responsible for creating public/private sector partnerships, intergovernmental affairs and Peace Corps Volunteer-led global initiatives.
