Julie Gibson
Strategic Partner
Julie is a veteran strategist who has served as Chief of Staff for a Missouri Governor, Lieutenant Governor, and State Treasurer, and in executive leadership positions in human services, economic and workforce development. Through her work in the non-profit and government sectors, Julie has extensive experience building and developing relationships and partnerships with local and state government officials, advocates, community leaders, and stakeholders. Throughout her career she has traveled the country leading and participating in panel discussions, and has led planning for conferences and events that bring subject matter experts and practitioners together to discuss policy issues and programmatic best practices. Prior to joining GPS, Julie was Director of Workforce Development Partnerships at ACT, Inc, where she launched the organization’s inaugural national workforce development conference. The conference was a priority strategy for establishing ACT as a thought leader with products that bring value to career and workforce development. Building on her relationships with key partners and stakeholders, Julie was able to grow attendance year over year, attracting leaders and practitioners from over 25 states.
