Jim focuses on message development aimed at maximizing earned media opportunities and increasing social media engagement. He has worked extensively on thought leadership and advocacy designed to increase awareness and promote solutions for income inequality and racial wealth gap issues. During that time, he has successfully placed stories on Axios on HBO, CBS MoneyWatch, Real Time With Bill Maher, Yahoo Finance television, Bloomberg News, The Hill, and Business Insider, among others. Jim has been involved in professional communications for nearly three decades in a career that spans journalism, politics, and state government. He previously worked as an award-winning business journalist in the Midwest, as communications director for the Missouri Department of Economic Development, the Missouri House of Representatives and Missouri Democratic Party, and as press secretary for Missouri Attorney General Jay Nixon. He served as communications manager for the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance and as deputy press secretary and speechwriter for New Jersey Governor Jon Corzine.
